padWhat are Triops?

Triops (sometimes called "Tadpole Shrimp") are crustaceans that look like miniature horseshoe crabs. Larger members of the crustacean family include crabs and lobsters. Smaller members of this family include brine shrimp (sometimes called "Sea Monkeys"), fairy shrimp and Daphnia. Triops have a relatively short lifespan of 20 to 90 days and grow quickly to their adult length of one to two inches. How large they grow depends on the amount of light and food they receive. After hatching, they often double in size daily.

This kit includes Triops eggs, water conditioner, and enough food to last their lifetime. These can be used as a replacement for theTriassic Triops Deluxe Kit or can be raised in your own small critters container or in the Undersea Encounter.

These are the ONLY Triops eggs on the market that are LAB REARED AND HAVE NOT BEEN REMOVED FROM THE WILD!
