The Blitzsafe HON/AUX DMX V.1 Auxiliary Input Converter connects to the CD changer data port of the factory radio in many 1998-2005 Acura/Honda vehicles (see specific vehicle application list below), to create an external auxiliary input that has a pair of left and right RCA audio inputs.
With this device installed, you will have created an auxiliary audio input to your factory radio, which will allow you to plug in any external audio source, like a portable MP3 player, satellite tuner, DVD player, or iPod, and play the audio from that external audio device directly through your factory radio. This is a direct connect device and NOT an FM Modulator. An FM modulator requires you to tune to an FM radio station in order to listen to the audio from the external audio device. While this is a direct connect interface, it is only an audio connection and does not allow you to control the external audio device that is connected to it.
Additional Add-on Items:
Convert the single auxiliary input of this device into three auxiliary inputs by adding the AUX3.
Add a Zune™ interface to this auxiliary input by adding the ZNCBLPAK Soundgate CORE™ Cable pack.
Add an iPOD® interface to this auxiliary input by adding either the Uni-POD or the UII Universal iPOD Interface.
Convert the RCA inputs on this device to a 3.5mm input by adding the PIE 3.5-RCA6MM Interface.
Compatibility Information:
Must have an empty 14-pin connector at the rear of the radio. (See Note #1) on 'Installation Notes and Explanations' page.
NOT compatible with vehicles with navigation.
NOT compatible with vehicles that have the satellite-mounted single CD player.
