Shipping Policy
CarbSmart only ships to addresses in the United States, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, APO/FPO, and Canada.
No matter what season or time of year, CarbSmart will not be responsible for perishable items sent by regular UPS Ground, UPS 3 Day Select, or US Parcel Post or Priority Mail.
Due to the unusually hot weather in some areas of the country, if you order perishable items (Chocolates, Protein Bars, Tortillas), CarbSmart STRONGLY suggests you choose UPS 2nd Day Air or UPS Next Day Air. CarbSmart will not be responsible for melted or damaged perishable items sent by any other shipping method.
Shipping Options
Due to the increase in U.S. Postal Service and UPS Rates including mandatory fuel surcharges, we have had to unfortunately raise our shipping rates. Even with these increases, we hope you can see that our prices are still extremely reasonable compared to the alternatives. CarbSmart attempts to keep the cost of shipping down by reusing packing boxes sent to us by our suppliers.

At this time, CarbSmart does not ship to International destinations other than Canada. Please note that CarbSmart automatically charges 7.375% Sales Tax for non-food items on orders shipped in the State of Nevada.
How long will it take to receive my order?
Due to many factors, CarbSmart can never guarantee the delivery date of UPS Ground and USPS Priority Mail shipments.
CarbSmart ships out of Reno, NV. Unfortunately we are never able to give you an EXACT date when your order will ship or arrive. BUT we are usually able to ship your order the same or next business day! Occasionally it may take and extra day or two because of market demand, time of year, or other factors. Also, please remember that Saturday and Sunday are not considered days in transit by UPS.
Please remember that the closer you are to Reno, NV, the faster your order will get to you. If you live on the East Coast, your order will take a full week in transit.
To give you an idea when your order will arrive, check the estimated delivery time below:
- UPS Ground - usually 3 to 8 business days (after we ship the order)
- UPS 3 Day Select - 3 business days (after we ship the order)
- UPS 2nd Day Air - 2 business days (after we ship the order)
- UPS Next Day Air - next business day (after we ship the order)
- USPS Parcel Post to US Mail Boxes, Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, and APO/FPO - usually 3 to 7 business days (after we ship the order)
- USPS Air Parcel Post to Canada - usually 10 to 14 business days (after we ship the order) because of Customs
Choosing UPS 3 Day Select, 2nd Day Air, or Next Day Air does not mean that you will receive your order 1, 2 or 3 days after you submit your order. It may take 1 to 3 days to assemble and ship your order. UPS service does not including Saturday delivery.
Protection of Perishable Products During Shipment
- Most orders going to "hot" areas of the country containing perishables (chocolate bars, items with chocolate or yogurt coatings, tortillas, etc.) will be packed with leak proof Ice Bricks. Ice Bricks are a viscous gel refrigerant specially formulated with food safe non-toxic materials, and hermetically sealed in a heavy plastic pouch that stays colder than wet ice. Ice Bricks are the ultimate in refrigerant packs. Ice Bricks are tested and proven to be the coldest & best gel refrigerant available.
- CarbSmart will take great efforts to protect your perishable items from exposure to heat by placing these items in the lower, center portion of the box and will try to put non-perishable items around them, as well as, placing ice bricks in the box to further shield them from the heat.
- If you choose regular UPS Ground shipping, your order contains perishables and you order on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, your order may be held until the following Monday before it is shipped. This will help prevent the package from sitting in a UPS warehouse which may be extremely hot over a weekend.
- EVEN THOUGH WE MAY PACK YOUR ORDER WITH ICE PACKS, IF YOU ORDER PERISHABLE ITEMS BY REGULAR UPS GROUND OR UPS 3 DAY SELECT SHIPPING, CARBSMART WILL NOT GUARANTEE THE ITEM TO ARRIVE UNMELTED OR IN PERFECT CONDITION.
Shipment Notification & Tracking
CarbSmart will send you two confirmation email messages - 1) when we receive your order, and 2) when we ship it (this email will provide information about your order, including UPS tracking number and notification of items that have been placed on back order).
